When you add a female gamer into the equation, it sets off some kind of weird hormonal reaction, and everyone goes crazy, and people get harassed. Way to go get ‘er cowboy! I have one friend, married female, who never uses her own profile on-line, but that of her husband’s because she gets too many messages and pictures from guys on-line. I also have a few more female gamers I play with on Call of Duty: World at War who have been harassed time and time again. This is simply pathetic, and to those of you out there who do these things: great idea in the abstract when your stoned and drunk and talking -ish on-line, pullin’ people’s tits and what not, however, not in action. Hatin’ on Hip-Hop?
I became intrested, while working in an underground used cd store-slash-head shop called CD Connection (in Boca Raton, Fl): Here, due to a friend, I started ordering in “underground hip-hop”. First it was Saul Williams,then Mr. Lif, Atmosphere, the Anticon (home page link here) collective (Sole, Doseone, Themselves, Buck65, etc.), Sage Francis, and Aesop Rock(–highly recommend following this link), El-P, and the rest of the Definitive Jux crew. I now listen to more underground hip-hop than I do punk on a typical day.

I do know, however, that it is a shame that such people torture themselves. That’s enough, but they then chastise those unlike them (those who are being candidly human) and make them feel like they are abnormal… now, that’s a real shame. The simple fact of the matter is, everyone is abnormal: life is wild and crazy, and no matter how much we try to order it, clean it up , and make it look nice, its wild. And, we too are wild and crazy: emotional manics, self-serving narcissists (yes, even you self-righteous crusader!), and arrogant gluttons, yet we are caring, spiritual, hopeful, creative, loving, and full of so much wild imagination. Like I said, crazy and wild. Other than a few truly suffering people out there, most on medications are not emotionally troubled, they simply have emotion; however, the standard is tacitly understood as “no emotion” (or, better put, no deep existential emotion: no attempting to feel more than you absolutely have to.).
