Like my last post, this was done for my news-writing class; however, whereas last time I wrote the piece, this time Dana wrote it and I became the talking head. This is a really awesome piece, very interesting. Apparently, she was trying to get back at me for making her talk about butthash: she’s a really good sport. But in the end, I relish the time in front of a camera where I get to talk about monkey vagina’s. But seriously, this is important stuff. One could point out, though, how horrible it is to purposefully give a primate such a horrible disease. It is in a very real way amoral, and I completely back the ALF (animal liberation front). One the other hand, finding a way to prevent this disease in both our species and theirs would be a great deed, indeed. I’ll let you decide, though.

I guess it’s only appropriate that the cure would come from monkeys, since many theorize the disease came from them (i.e. from someone who got a little too friendly with one).
nice. yeah no doubt it makes sense. did you know there is this crazy documentary that shows how experimental polio vaccines produced in chimpanzee livers were foricibly given to the local african community in which the research was taken place. They go on to propose that these simians were possibly infected with SIV, which was then passed on to the african test subjects.

oh very angry and poor…but not-so-slowly approaching not being young anymore. Plus angry, young, and poor is the name of a huge punk distro so seperating myself from that on the web is impossible. also, atrophiedspirit.com is an open domain name in case I decide to make this permenent. Also, it is a very fitting generalization of all of our current predicaments.
